Our Beliefs
Our vision at Briston Community Nursery School is quite simple: to give each and every child the best pre-school experience possible.
Creating the best environment for our children
We aim to create a secure, happy, stimulating and purposeful environment where the children are cared for and learn social skills, where they gain educational value and physical well-being and most importantly, enjoy themselves.
The development of social skills is at the core of our role so we take every opportunity to encourage communication, participation, respect for others and good manners. We offer carefully structured learning and believe that a great emphasis should be put on learning through play.
We work to help the children be as healthy as possible by providing a range of physical activities and fresh air and by promoting personal hygiene and healthy snacks. Our positive ethos encourages individuals to develop at their own pace, praises their achievements and builds their self esteem.
We work closely with local primary and independent schools to gently equip the children with the necessary skills to prepare them for school.
We endeavour to work in partnership with parents to develop happy, confident children with respect for others and willingness to explore the world around them.
