Briston Community Nursery School Facilities
Outside play areas
Outside we have a large playground and a smaller enclosed garden. We also have a range of outdoor play equipment. On sunny days we eat outside at picnic tables. We also have access to an enchanted woodland area.
Inside
Inside there are two colourful and well equipped school rooms organised by age, allowing staff to target challenges to a particular age group.
The Playroom
18 months to 3 years or 'chicks and cygnets' as we know them. The playroom accommodates up to twenty-five children and has a ratio of one member of staff to 4 children (or 1 to 3 children where aged under 2). Children are able to rest or sleep in this room during the day.
The Pre-school Room
For 3 to 5 year olds or 'swans and flying swans' as we know them. This accommodates two groups of sixteen children and has a ratio of one member of staff to eight children.
